Cougar Soccer Downs Andover

The Salina South boys soccer team posted a 3-1 win over Andover to close the regular season on Thursday night.

Andover took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute, but South rallied for three second half goals.

Erick Hernandez tied the match for South early in the second half on an assist from Jorge Gonzalez. The Cougars took the lead in the 48th minute when Jose Escobedo scored on an assist from Jose Ponce.

South added another goal late in the match when Gonzalez scored on a penalty kick.

The Cougars are 11-4-1 and will host a regional game next week.
