Central Volleyball Sweeps Home Triangular

The Salina Central volleyball team took two more matches on Tuesday, sweeping its home triangular against Hutchinson and Salina South.

The Mustangs defeated Hutchinson 25-14, 25-17 to open the day, and then knocked off Salina South 25-11, 25-22 in the final match of the night.

The Cougars led 13-11 in the second set before Central rallied to take the lead and hold on for the win.

Shaelyn Martin had 34 kills, seven assists and six digs on the day. Brooke Peters had 10 kills, nine digs and 19 service points. Emily Wood added 44 assists and 12 digs. Marysa Bradshaw had 23 service points and 10 digs. Tara Bradley had 10 digs. Paige Johnson tallied 11 digs and five kills, while Bailey Driver had eight kills.

The Mustangs are 20-8 overall and 7-2 in AVCTL Division I.
