Bombers Rout Lincoln in Home Finale

The Salina Bombers closed out the home schedule strong, routing the Lincoln Haymakers 46-14.
The Bombers dominated the first half, as Dane Simoneau found Ricky Roberts for a 37-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter. The Bombers would add a safety before the end of the quarter and led 8-0 after one.
Corey Hoover hit a field goal to start the quarter, then following an interception, Frank Miles plunged in from a yard out. A two point conversion gave the Bombers a 19-0 lead.
After an Ira Autrey interception, Simoneau hit Pelton Smalls for an 18-yard touchdown pass, pushing the Bomber lead to 26-0.
DeWayne Autrey continued the interception string, giving the Bombers another chance at a score. They converted on Quentin Benning’s one-yard run for a 33-0 halftime lead.
The Bombers pushed the lead to 39-0 early in the second half on a pass from Simoneau to Roberts from 27 yards out.
Quentin Benning would add a late 29-yard touchdown run.
DeWayne Autrey finished with three interceptions, and the Bombers had five as a team.
Salina is 7-3 overall and closes out the regular season with a two-game road swing. The Bombers play at Mid-Missouri next week.
