Salina Police arrest an Abilene man for the sexual assault of a male acquaintance.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that police arrested 47-year-old Scott David Widler on Wednesday, after officers interviewed a man in his 30’s at the hospital.

Police allege Widler sexually assaulted the victim in south Salina on February 12th.

Widler is now facing charges of aggravated criminal sodomy and sexual battery.
