Snow, Ice, Cold Continue Sunday

A winter storm that rolled into Kansas Saturday will continue Sunday and into Sunday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, while some sleet may mix with snow across southeast Kansas into the afternoon, most areas can expect predominately snow. Amounts will range from an inch or two around Russell to as much as five inches over parts of south central and southeast Kansas. Isolated higher amounts are possible.

The heaviest snow is expected late Sunday morning and afternoon.

Bitter cold wind chills of zero to 25 below zero will continue into Monday morning.
