Smoky Valley Splits With Southeast of Saline

Smoky Valley splits Tuesday night against Southeast of Saline.

 

Southeast girls won 35-22 and in the nightcap, Smoky Valley boys edged Southeast 58-52.

 

Viking girls was led in scoring by Jordon Otto with nine. They are now 0-2 on the season.

 

In boys action, three players were in double figures to lead the Vikings to victory. Ben Weldy had 11, Nick Reinert chipped in 14 and Brett Heitschmidt paced the Vikes.

 

The Vikings were up by as many as 18 in the middle of the fourth quarter. Suddenly, Southeast of Saline caught fire to close out the game. Vikings were 11-of-15 from the free throw line and will look to improve to 2-1 as they take on Concordia at home Friday.
