The discovery of fireworks above a ceiling tile prompted a Salina school to contact police.

Police say that on Monday four packages of TNT brand firecrackers were discovered hidden above a ceiling in a boy’s bathroom at Lakewood Middle School. The fireworks were found after a student saw someone he did not recognize place something in the ceiling.

Police confiscated the fireworks, but have not identified the person who hid them.
