Shotguns and Cash Stolen

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a business burglary northeast of Salina.

Deputies say a shop that is located on a rural property in the 7000 block of E. Benfield Road was broken into sometime between April 5th and April 7th. Owner, Patrick Martin told officers his employee discovered the door on the shop had been forced open and contacted him while he was out of town.

Deputies say burglars ransacked the office and stole two 12-gauge shotguns, a bottle of Crown Royal whiskey and $550 in cash.

Total loss and damage is listed at $4,080.
