Sheriff’s Office Mourning Loss of Deputy

KSAL Staff - January 18, 2016 5:08 pm

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of its own.

According to the agency, 32-year-old Deputy Jeremy Trostle passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. Trostle, who was not on duty at the time, passed way from a medical condition.

Trostle leaves behind a wife and young daughter.

A gofundme account has been set up to help the family. The fund reads “Jeremy was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was a Deputy Sheriff for Saline County. He has a wife and young daughter that he loves very much. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help with the expenses of this unexpected situation.”

Trostle had been a Saline County Sheriff Deputy for about ten years.
