Sheriff Glen Kochanowski has announced that he will not be running in the upcoming election for Saline County Sheriff.

Sheriff Kochanowski has served in law enforcement for 51 years, and has served as Sheriff for 19 years. He is 73 years old, and will be 74 by the end of his career.

The Sheriff wants to do one thing before he leaves though, “If we have the money, I want to make the front of the building secure. I don’t want to lock people out though. I want people to still be able to meet face to face with their Sheriff and talk about concerns and problems”.

Sheriff Kochanowski will remain in office for another eleven months before a new Sheriff will be voted in.

Say what???? Lock the front doors? What is he afraid people seeing him sleep in his office? There is no reason for this to happen. What he should be trying to get done is solve all the unsolved murder cases that have occurred while he has been sheriff.
