Severe Weather Rolls Across Area

Severe weather rolled through Central Kansas late Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening, dropping large hail.

The heaviest storms rolled through portions of Ellsworth, Ottawa, Saline, and Dickinson Counties.

While there was the threat of tornadoes, a funnel were reported in Ellsworth County, large hail quickly became the biggest concern. Hail larger than baseballs was reported in Northern Saline County. Hail up to the size of golf balls covered the ground is some areas of Dickinson County.  There were multiple reports of large hail in the New Cambria area.

There were no reports of injuries.

More severe weather is possible by midweek. A significant severe weather day is possible on Tuesday across portions of Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas. According to the National Weather Service, an outbreak of severe storms is possible.
