Search Warrant Served At Convenience Store

Police Monday were back at a North Salina convenience store that has been a recent source of controversy.

According to the department, officers Monday afternoon executed a search warrant related to an alleged sexual battery complaint at the Pump Mart at 1118 N. Ninth Street.

Back in August two arrests were made at the store after a Kansas Bureau of Investigation lab confirmed a potpourri product that contained a substance that is banned in Kansas was sold.

Prior to the drug arrest one of the owners of the store, 61-year-old Rasikbhai Mody, had been arrested multiple times on accusations that he was groping and inappropriately touching female customers. The arrests prompted several protests outside store.
