Search Leads to 4 Arrests

Salina Police made four arrests in connection to fraudulent and forged checks.

On Friday, officers used a warrant to enter a home at 637 Jaran and found a printer, numerous printing items and blank checks printed with various local businesses letter head.

Police arrested James Hay, 38 who was inside the home. Chloe Dixson, 20 was present also and arrested on charges for possession of personal use meth.

Also taken into custody that day was Carl Persinger, 29 and Bradley Holmes, 36 of Salina.

Police allege back in late Septmeber a box of checks was taken from a home on N. Chicago and forged by Bradley Holmes for items purchased at Dillon’s, 1201 W. Crawford.

Police allege Carl Persinger on October 14 tried and failed to cash a forged check for $267 at Capitol Federal Savings at 255 S. 9th because the account showed that it was closed.

Officers also allege Holmes cashed a fraudulent check for $45.83 at Lone Star, 100 N. Broadway on October 27.

Investigators confiscated over ninety blank checks from inside the home on Jaran.
