Search Is On For Escapee

The Kansas Department of Corrections and the Shawnee County Sheriff Office are searching for an inmate who is now considered an escapee.

According to Communications Director Jeremy Barclay, 25-year-old David Kerth went missing Sunday morning around 6:00am from his work release program.

Kerth was working at a Shawnee County processing plant.
The department of corrections contacted the Shawnee County Sheriff to help find him.

He was in the Department of Corrections after he was convicted in 2010 in Douglas County for Robbery.

Kerth is described as a white male, 5’ 10” tall, 198 lbs. He has shaved brown hair.
