Burglars targeted a downtown Salina business late last week.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney says that sometime Thursday into Friday, burglars broke into Altar Engineering at 537 N. Santa Fe. Entry was gained by damaging an overhead door.

Items taken include a motorcycle engine and transmission, a toolbox and tools, a small amount of cash, and 10 scale model Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Total loss and damage is estimated at $5,807.
