Deputies arrested 25-year-old Adam Cross of Salina following a short chase on Sunday. Officers say Cross was weaving in his lane while southbound on I-135 and did not stop when the deputy attempted to make a stop near Crawford. He continued south and exited at Magnolia and drove to his home in the 200 block of E. Key. Cross is now facing multiple charges including DUI and fleeing and eluding.

A Salina man was transported to the hospital after being injured on the job. Deputies say 58-year-old Carlos Torres was struck by a forklift while working at Exide Battery, 413 E. Berg on Saturday afternoon around 3:30pm. Authorities say Torres told EMS he was suffering from neck and back pain.
