Salina Sunday Liquor Sales Delayed

Sunday liquor sales in Salina are delayed until the fall.

Back in June, the Salina City Commission unanimously passed a law allowing Sunday liquor sales. The law was scheduled to go into effect this month. It goes into effect 61 days after final, or second publication.

But, it was only published once. Now, though, it has been published twice.

The new effective date is now October 22nd. The first Sunday when liquor sales will be legal will be October 27th.

How bad is this city commission? They cannot even keep track if something is published twice. So now all of us are inconvienced once again because of their incompetence.

They rather spend their time going to county commission meetings to cause trouble than to take care of their own business. This city commission should be disbanded and a whole new commission put in place.
