Salina Police Log 7-25-16

Two reported runaway teens from Salina were arrested for shoplifting at the Central Mall on Thursday. Salina Police arrested 17-year-old Destany Dirksen and 14-year-old Danay Renfro after the two were allegedly found wearing stolen clothing and were carrying backpacks filled with stolen merchandise from five clothing stores inside the mall located at 2259 S. 9th. Police say the two had taken over $1,200 in clothing items. Both were referred to Juvenile Services in Junction City.

 

A 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 500 motorcycle was stolen from the 1500 block of Pueblo sometime between midnight and 9am on Sunday. The silver bike is valued at $2,000 and has Kansas tag, 54 DEH.

 

Police are investigating damage to a 2008 Cadillac after patrons early Sunday morning at Chuck’s Bar and Grill, 600 N. Santa Fe saw a white male smash the windshield and side windows on the vehicle before running away. Damage is estimated at $800.

 

Six hundred dollars in damage was done to a moped – stolen, damaged and left in an alley on Thursday in the 800 block of S. Santa Fe. Police say someone damaged the battery, ignition system and stole the headlight.

 

A 2004 Chevy Silverado had all four windows broken while the vehicle was parked in the 800 block of Roach over the weekend. Damage is listed at $800.
