Salina Police are investigating after cash is stolen from a car loaned out to a friend. Police say Adrienna Larson of Salina loaned her 2012 Nissan Sentra to a friend to drive between Friday and Saturday. When Larson picked up her car at Russell’s Restaurant, 649 Westport Blvd., she discovered the $600 in cash she had stowed in the dash was gone.

Police arrested a man who was living in a vacant, foreclosed house. Police say 28-year-old Adam Yancey gave officers a false name and false information about why he was in the house at 609 W. Ash on Saturday afternoon. A concerned citizen called police when they noticed Yancey inside. Yancey had several warrants for probation violations.
