Salina Police Log 5-11-16

Salina Police are investigating the theft of some fishing gear from a truck that was parked at 717 W. Grand. Sometime between 9pm Saturday and 9am Monday, someone entered an unlocked pickup and stole 4 rods and reels, a tackle box and lures. The thief also took a radio from the garage. Loss is estimated at $975.

Susan Lawson of Salina contacted police after someone entered her 2010 GMC Acadia at Bill Burk Park and took 2 credit cards and drivers licence. Police are now investigating after one of those credit cards was used at Wal-Mart to purchase 2 gift cards totalling $650 plus five boxes of cigars and a chocolate bar. Total loss is $689.

Worth Barham, 53 of Houston Texas told police that sometime between 8pm Monday and 8am Tuesday someone stole numerous items from his truck and trailer while they were parked at the Econo Lodge, 1846 N.9th. Police say a camo bag, stake board, toolbox with hand tools and tarps were taken. Loss is listed at $1,155

Gregory Corum, 55 of Bellview, Colorado reports that two trucks that he was storing in the 500 block of N. 9th were damaged sometime Monday night at 9pm and 7:30am Tuesday. Police say someone damaged the steering columns on two Dodge Ram trucks, pulling out the wires causing $1,500 in damages.
