Salina Police Log 11-29-16

Salina police are investigating the theft of a cellular telephone. Police say that at 1:15 Tuesday morning a Samsung cell phone was stolen from inside the Casey’s convenience store located at 500 N. Ohio. The phone belonged to a clerk who was working at the time. It is believed to have been stolen by a customer. Total loss is estimated at $700.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a saw from a work truck. According to the agency, sometime between November 23rd and November 28th a Stihl concrete saw was stolen from a Dodge 2500 pickup truck which was parked at Stevens Construction at 422 E. Avenue A. It appeared that the thief unsuccessfully tried topry open a door on the truck before breaking a window to get to the saw.  Total loss and damage is estimated at $4,000.
