Salina Man Sentenced In Child Porn Case

A Salina man was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in federal prison for possessing child pornography.

According to U.S Attorney Barry Grissom’s office, 37-year-old Cory Dale McQuillan pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. He had a prior conviction for aggravated indecent liberties with a child in a 1999 case in Dickinson County.

In his plea, McQuillan admitted that while he was on parole in 2013 he used a cell phone to receive images of child pornography, which he would keep for a short period of time before deleting. Investigators found child pornography on his laptop computer as well.

Grissom commended the Kansas Department of Corrections, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hart for their work on the case.
