An audit at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 523 S. Broadway led to the arrest of an employee – who police say was giving an unauthorized discount rate on parts to a business in Junction City.

Neal Barta, 50 of Salina was arrested on Tuesday after investigators looked at transactions dating back to January of this year.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that Barta allegedly sold products to the customer at a reduced rate from January 14, 2015 through December 1st.

Loss is estimated at $2,054.

Barta is charged with theft of property and services.

The investigation is ongoing, but no charges have been filed against the unidentified business in Junction City.
