Salina Man Arrested In Child Porn Case

A tip from the Wichita Police Department’s Exploited and Missing Child Unit leads to the arrest of a Salina man.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that back on March 28th the department received a tip that 45-year-old Richard Hansen was downloading child pornography. On May 20th, during a search of Hansen’s home at 1326 East Woodland a computer was seized.

Sweeney says that images of child pornography found on the computer prompted a warrant for Hansen’s arrest. He was arrested Tuesday, and booked into the Saline County Jail on charges that could include sexual exploitation of a child.
