A Salina man was arrested yesterday on warrant for a laundry list of alleged sexual crimes against a preteen.

Christopher Hitchcock, 40 of Salina, allegedly sexually molested a preteen girl on many different occasions and took photographs without the victim’s knowledge starting in August 2012 and ended in August 2015.

The Department of Child and Family Services was notified by the family, who then in turn notified Salina police on August 23. A protection order was served, and the alleged perpetrator violated the protection order by means of text messaging, Facebook messaging and phone calls.

After a thorough investigation, police arrested Hitchcock yesterday.

The investigation is still ongoing.
