Salina Crime Log 3-1-2016

A counterfeit bill and a stolen trailer highlight Tuesday’s Salina Crime Log.

  • Counterfeit money continues to surface in Salina. Police say that a counterfeit $5 bill was discovered in a deposit at The Bennington State Bank at 200 S. 9th Street. The bill was discovered Monday afternoon between 2:30 and 3:00. Multiple deposits were made during the time span, so it’s unclear where the counterfeit bill came from.
  • A flatbed trailer was stolen from Lytle Electric Inc. at 601 E. North Street in Salina. The black 14 foot trailer was taken sometime between 5:00 in the evening on Friday and 6:30 in the morning on Monday. Total loss is estimated at  $1,000.
