Salina AutumnFest Events Saturday

A full agenda of activities are planned in Salina this weekend as part of Salina AutumnFest.

The Smoky Hill Museum Street Fair joins several other events to create Salina AutumnFest. It is billed as a unique collection of fun-filled area events designed to entertain, educate and enlighten the entire family.

Salina AutumnFest 2013 events include: The Salina AMBUCS Oktoberfest, German Car Show, and the Smokin’ on the Smoky BBQ competition all going on at Oakdale Park on Saturday.

The Smoky Hill Museum Street Fair also takes place on Saturday in and around the Smoky Hill Museum at 211 W. Iron Avenue in downtown Salina. The Street Fair is a free day of celebration with music, participatory crafts and activities, historic demonstrators, food vendors and, of course, tours of the museum itself.

The Street Fair celebration begins at 10 am with a Salina tradition – a parade down Santa Fe – from Elm to the Masonic Temple. This year’s theme is “Autumn is Picture Perfect.” The parade will feature bands, dancers, businesses, military and much more.
