As the east coast prepares for a blizzard that is expected to drop record snowfall amounts in some areas, record warmth is possible in the midwest.

According to the National Weather Service, record setting high temperatures will overspread the area Monday and Tuesday. Highs in the 70s will be possible for locations along and west of Interstate 135.

The mild temperatures will taper off as the week progresses. ByThursday, and into the weekend, high temperatures will drop back to the 40s.
