Police Log: Tools Stolen, Business Damaged

A Salina man is out $500 cash after accidently leaving his wallet at the Starplex Cinemas at the Central Mall, 2259 S. 9th.

Tools are taken from a detached garage. Salina Police are investigating the theft of a collection of tools from a garage at a home in the 200 block of N.11th. Police say sometime between May 13th and December 2nd, someone entered an unlocked garage and removed multiple tools including a torque wrench, socket set and 3 piece socket extension set. The mechanic tools are valued at $960.

Business Damaged

Police are also investigating a damage to property case at Rent A Center, 1415 W. Crawford. Officers answered an alarm at 4:51am Tuesday morning after someone struck an 8 x 3-foot window on the building’s west side. Police say the window did not shatter, but caved in.

No entry was made.

Damage is estimated at $600.
