Salina Police are investigating two vehicle thefts.

Officers were called to the 800 block of Harold on Friday after a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was stolen off the street. The owner told police the vehicle, which is gray in color and has the Kansas license tag: 819 DDG, was taken sometime between Thursday night at 10pm and Friday afternoon at 3pm. The owner also told officers the truck was locked and had no keys in it. The vehicle is valued at $7,500.

Police are also investigating after a mini van was stolen from a Salina hotel. Kareem Peters, 32 of Bowling Green, Kentucky contacted police after his gray, 2005 Ford Freestar mini van was stolen from the parking lot at America’s Best Inn, 2403 S. 9th. Police say the vehicle was taken sometime between Friday night at 7pm and Saturday morning at 6:30am. Peters told officers he did not leave the keys inside the van which has Illinois state plates: K 158 220, and is valued at $2,500.
