Salina Police are investigating after a gun was stolen from a truck that was parked near the Hangar Indoor Sports Complex, 2720 Arnold. Police say the 2005 Dodge pickup was left unlocked and an AK-47 semi automatic rifle was stolen from the vehicle sometime Monday night between 7pm and 9pm. The rifle, valued at $500 is black with a plastic stock.

A burglar forced a front door open on a home in the 200 block of Harsh on Tuesday between 2pm and 9pm and stole an Xbox 360 game console. Damage and loss is listed at $500.

A Salina man is arrested for making a false report. Police say 40-year-old Shannon Boese told staff at Salina Regional Health Center that he had been struck by a car in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Tuesday morning and wanted a pain killer. Officers reviewed video from the lot cameras and determined he was giving a false report. Boese was also cited for not having a valid drivers license.
