Salina Police are investigating the theft of a number of tools from a residence under construction. Police say someone entered an unlocked home in the 800 block of Eileen sometime between Thursday night at 8pm and Friday morning at 7am and removed numerous power and construction tools. Ladders, tools and a space heater that belonged to 5 construction workers were stolen. Total loss is estimated at $2557.

Police officers were called to Ace Hardware, 321 S. Broadway on Saturday morning at 9am, after thieves stole a padlock on the storage locker that holds propane tanks for gas grills. Staff told officers that 13 filled Blue Rhino propane tanks were removed. Total loss is listed at $780.
