Police Investigating Alleged Bat Attack

KSAL Staff - February 1, 2016 12:56 pm

Police are investigating an alleged bat attack.

Police say that a 24-year-old man reported that he was attacked while walking from the Heather Ridge Apartments at 2130 E. Crawford to a nearby Kwik Shop convenience store at around 1:30 in the morning on Sunday.

The man told police that an SUV slowly pulled up next to him. A person man emerged from the SUV, hit the man twice with a baseball bat, and then left the scene.

The SUV is possibly a late 2000s dark colored Toyota. The suspect is described as a white male with blond hair, average build, and in his late 20s or early 30s.

The victim was treated and released at Salina Regional Health Center.
