A Salina man is jailed on charges of promoting obscenity.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that the parents of a 14-year-old Salina girl, contacted police after a man sent nude pictures of himself to their daughter.

Officers arrested 27-year-old Shayne D. Motes on Monday.

Police allege that Motes sent nude pictures of himself to the female victim after they became friends through social media.

Police say he also convinced the girl to exchange nude pictures of herself during a time period from December 28th to January 12.
