Owner of Salina Business Reports Forgery

An area business man and the Salina Police Department are working to find out who wrote fraudulent checks from an area business.

Police Capt. Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that the checks were from Feb. 17, 2017.

Mohanad Khmous, 45, of Manhattan, says that he found four fraudulent checks written on the business account for IHOP Restaurant at 2273 S. 9th St. in Salina, in which Khmous is the owner.

The missing money totals to $3,097.00.

The fraudulent checks were all written by one individual and cashed at numerous local banks.

Salina Police are working with the local banks to get surveillance videos to help capture the person responsible.
