One Woman Hurt, One Arrested

A Salina woman is accused of hitting a woman with a vehicle after an argument turns violent.

Police arrested 46-year-old Ada Woodring for allegedly striking 50-year-old Brenda Stierlin with her Nissan Pathfinder Wednesday evening around 11:30pm.

Stierlin was transported to the hospital, treated for minor scrapes and released.

Police say that Stierlin stood in front of Woodring’s vehicle and told her to leave – but failed to get out of the way before the Pathfinder sped off.

Officers were called to the 200 block of N. Front Street after the argument between three adults and a 17-year-old male spilled into the street.

Police say alcohol played a role in the fight that is still under investigation.
