Have you been dreaming the day you can stop throwing away money each month on rent?  Do you want to be able to paint walls whenever you feel like it?  Wouldn’t it be nice not to have to call the landlord every time something goes wrong?  Well you are in luck!   First Bank Kansas can help qualify you for first time home buyer grants to assist with down payment and closing costs.

The first time home buyer grants are granted based on household income limits.  The grants have a forgiveness period of 5-10 years.  If you live in the house longer than the forgiveness period, you do not have to repay the grant.  With the grants, the homebuyer is required to invest at least 2% of the purchase price into the transaction.  This can include the earnest money, appraisal fee, and down payment.  The grants make it very easy for first time home buyers to buy their first home.

Owning a home is one of the best investments you can make in your lifetime.  Please join Lender Melinda Foster with First Bank Kansas and Realtor Dan Goble with Salinahomes.com on June 8th @ 6:30 pm for a very informative meeting on being a first time home buyer.  Learn more about the grant money and how the housing market is doing in Salina, Kansas.  Call 785-822-0046 for more information or to RSVP.
