Officer Fatally Shoots Dog During Burglary Investigation

A family dog is dead after police shot it during a burglary investigation.

Wichita police say they were investigating a reported break-in on Ash Street Wednesday night when an officer faced a dog that had pushed its way out of a fence and charged the officer. After giving ground, police say the officer was had to use deadly force on the dog as it kept advancing towards the officer.

At least one witness said shooting the dog wasn’t necessary.

Okay Einstein ^^^^^you idiot! Have you ever faced a big dog like a pitbull or German Shepard in full attack mode? I doubt it. What was the officer supposed to do? Give the damn thing a treat?!?!?
