Richard Edward "Dick" Fish, the son of Norwood Edward and Alice Mary (Winterfeld) Fish, was born on October 20, 1940 on a farm near Ulysses, Nebraska. He passed away on July 23, 2014 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 73 years, 9 months, 3 days.

Dick attended Surprise Elementary school, graduated from Rising City High School, and received his Associates Degree from National Business Institute. He served his country in the United States Navy on February 28, 1958 and was honorably discharged on October 19, 1961.

On October 24, 1964, he was united in marriage to Nancy Lee Shaffer at Belleville, Kansas.

Dick was employed at Ideal Basic Industries/Holcim from 1963 until his retirement in 2010.

He was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge, American Legion, and was a charter member of the Republican Valley Bird Watchers. During his lifetime, Dick lived in the communities of Surprise, Lincoln and Superior, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Son: Richard and wife Joni of Englewood, Colorado
Five grandchildren: Kayla Renae (Porter) Grove

Brother: William Harry Fish of Pipe Creek, Texas
