Robert B. "Bob" Kelley, 85, of Marquette, Kansas, passed away at 3:00 a.m., Saturday, April 19th, peacefully, at Windom, Kansas. Bob was born on his parents homestead rural, Kansas on January 17, 1929, the son of Claude O. and Ina Dorothy (Davison) Kelley.
Bob attended the Rocky Mountain grade school and graduated from Decatur County High School in 1947, all of Oberlin, Kansas. He then attended Kansas University, Lawrence, Kansas for two years.
Bob was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church McPherson, Kansas.
Bob honorably served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant during the Korean War. Bob was an airline pilot for 34 years from 1955 thru 1989 for United Airlines.
Bob was a member of and past president of McPherson Lions Club, a member of the American Legion, and Airline Pilots Association.
Bob enjoyed working on old cars, bowling, traveling, and golfing.
Robert B. Kelley was united in marriage to Jeanie Pearl Byrd on September 25, 1950 at Corpus Christi, Texas. She died on May 23, 1983. Bob was united in marriage to Bertha Lucille Jording Macy on February 7, 1987, at McPherson, Kansas. She died on October 3, 1996.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, Jeanie and Bertha; a son Robert Byrd Kellley; a son-in-law, Terry Welzen; a brother, Donald Kelley; and a step-daughter, Susan Hanel.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson, Kansas, with The Reverend Tim Leaf officiating.
Military honors will be presented by members of the American Legion Post 24 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 both of McPherson.
Burial will be in the Ivanhoe Church Cemetery Ivanhoe, Illinois at a later date.
