Martha “Jane” Garten-Boyce, 59, passed away Monday, April 21st, in Manhattan. She was born October 6, 1954 in Abilene, the daughter of Raymond H. and Genevieve (Wolf) Garten.
Growing up in Abilene, Jane attended local schools and graduated from Abilene High School with the class of 1972.
In 1973, she was married to Clinton W. Burger, later divorcing in 1979. In 1981, she was married to Warren E. Boyce, later divorcing in 1988.
Jane had been employed by Footlocker, Tonys Pizza, Exide and the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of the Abilene First United Methodist Church and the Abilene Dart League.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Shirley Walken and two brothers, Gerald and Michael Garten.

The family has chosen cremation.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, April 26th, at the Abilene First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Collins and Rev. Ron Bowell officiating.
Inurnment will follow at the Prairie Mound Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5:30 – 6:30 PM Friday, April 25th, at the Danner Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be given to the Elsie Brooks Cancer Fund. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
