Ronald  Scott  Markham

Ronald Scott “Rooster” Markham, 62, Salina, died Monday, March 10, 2014. He was born January 10, 1952 in Salina.

He served as a medic in the U.S. Army. He worked for Salina Concrete Products and Russell Stover Candies in Abilene and loved his work and co-workers. Ron especially loved his blues music, which he played on his own radio program, Little Red Rooster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert S. and Pauline L. (Brown) Markham.

He is survived by two sisters, Dyanna L.Wright and Carolyn R. Schneider; and a brother, Dee R. Markham, all of Salina.

Ronald has been cremated and there will be no visitation.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on March 28, 2014 in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

The family suggests memorials to the Blues Society or the family, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, Kansas 67401.
