Greg  Wesley  Thomas

Greg Wesley Thomas, 59, of Salina, died Saturday, March 1, 2014. He was born April 18, 1954 in Salina, KS to George W. and Esther L. Thomas.

Greg grew up in Salina and graduated from Salina High in 1972. After high school he played football and was a letterman at Wichita State University, graduating in 1976.

In 1981 Greg and Jackie Emmel were married and lived happily for over 32 years.

Greg owned Greg Thomas Masonry Contractor and was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers for over 35 years. He was also a member of Sons of The American Legion. Greg loved visiting and playing with his grandchildren and watching any and all televised sporting events. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, making many of his own lures and sinkers.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by -

Daughters: Kelsey Ortiz of Emporia and Mickey Thomas of El Dorado
Six grandchildren: Mason, Reese, and Luke of Dallas
Tomas and Ashtyn of Emporia
Baylee of El Dorado
Brother: Kelly & Rita Thomas of York, NE
Sisters: Karla & Gary Arpin of Salina
Sherry & Brad Oxandale of Holt, MO
Linda & Brian Turner of Topeka
Kim & Bruce Ehlers of Ft. Atkinson, WI

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Ryan Mortuary.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association.
