Dale A. Johnson, 82, of Salina, died Tuesday, Dec 24, 2013. He was born Oct 24, 1931, near Smolan, the son of Allen and Edith (Anderson) Johnson. Dale farmed his familys farm, near Smolan, his entire life.

He also worked at Johnsons Elevator in Mentor, Johnsons Appliance in Salina, and drove a school bus for Southeast Of Saline School since 1974. Dale was a member of Salemsborg Lutheran Church and Choir, Bethany Messiah Chorus, the Lindsborg Masonic Lodge, Secretary and Treasurer of the ISIS Engineers, and was a board member of Saline Co. Rural Water Dist. 3.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Irving Johnson; and two grandchildren, Allison and Chandler Johnson.

Survivors include:
His wife, Marilyn of Smolan
Sons: Perry (Darcy) and Greg, both of Salina
Brother: Clair of Osprey, FL
Sister: Arline Roberts of Salina
Four grandchildren, Chadd, Jordan, and Isaac Johnson and Megan Rondeau; and one great granddaughter, Emma Rondeau.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at the Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family greeting visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, Dec 28, 2013, at the Salemsborg Lutheran Church with burial in the Salemsborg Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials are to the church, or the Shriner Childrens Research Hospital, or the American Cancer Society.
