Donald Wehmhoff, 92, of Winston Salem, North Carolina passed away November 11, 2013 at his residence.

Donald was born June 19, 1921 in Clay County, Kansas, the son of Louis and Katherine (Dagan) Wehmhoff.

Don was raised and attended school in Clay County. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe.

Don married Lucille Stewart on October 31, 1942. Following the war, he returned to the Clay Center area and they farmed and raised livestock for 26 years.

In 1972, Don and Lucille became real estate managers in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. They returned to Clay Center in 1984 and Don worked as a crop insurance adjuster.

Lucille preceded him in death on February 2, 1996. He later married Marie (Stroade) Blake on August 3, 1997. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2005.

Don was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served in the Farmers CO-OP Board of Directors.

Don is survived by:
Daughter: Donice and husband Dennis Rothfuss, Winston Salem, NC
Two Granddaughters

Memorial Services will be held at a later date and announced by the funeral home.
