Frank J Thelen, III, 59, of Salina, died Sunday Nov 3, 2013.

He was born May 25, 1954 in Fremont, OH, the son of Frank and Marybelle (Miller) Thelen, II.

Frank worked as a diesel technician for the Foley Equipment Co the past fifteen years and prior to that he worked twenty years for Western Auto.

He was a member of St Marys Catholic Church, the 4th degree Knights of Columbus, and served on the Diesel Advisory Board at Salina Tech.

He enjoyed camping and being with family and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tony.

Survivors include:
Wife: Elena
Sons: Frank Thelen, IV of Wichita, Sam (Kristine) Thelen of Wichita and Andy Thelen of Wichita
Daughter: Mary Kay (Rocko) Talley of Salina
Brother: Dennis (Elaine) Thelen of Palm Harbor, FL
Sisters: Mary Lou Thelen of Salina, Ann (Ryan) Hunter of Wichita Grandchildren: Braxton and Kenzie Talley
Many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th, with vigil begining at 7:00 PM.

The family will greet visitors from 4:00 until time of the vigil.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM Friday at St Marys Catholic Church with private inurnment at a later date.
