Helen Irene Davis, 86, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson, KS.

She was born August 9, 1927 in Clay County, Kansas, the daughter of Albert and Vena (Palmateer) Siebold.

Helen was raised in the Fact Community. She married Ahart Reed in 1946, and they later divorced. She would remarry on December 11, 1964 in Manhattan, KS to Robert Dale Davis. He preceded her on June 6, 2002.

Helen owned and operated a cafe in Leonardville, KS before moving to Clay Center in 1955 where she would own and operated Southside and Reeds Cafe.

She moved to Morganville, KS in 1964 and owned and operated Bobs Cafe until she retired in 1989.

In 2000, she moved to Hutchinson where her final years were spent.

She is preceded by a daughter, Karen Ann Reed, a grandson, Lucas Carlson Reed, four brothers; Wilbur, Warren, Floyd, and Franklin Siebold, five sisters; Margaret Poindexter, Pauline Coltharp, Wilma Dennis, Pat Bowman, and Alberta Dageford Gregory.

She is survived by:
Daughter: Sharon and husband Rick Cooper, Hutchinson, KS
Son: Bruce Reed, Riley, KS
Sister: Mary McDonald Fowler, Leonardville, KS
Grandchildren: Shari Stewart, Logan Cooper, and Brady Reed

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. from 3-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Morganville Cemetery, Morganville, KS.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Reno County or the Good Samaritan Fund at the Wesley Towers c/o Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home at 918 7th St. Clay Center, KS 67432.
