Charles R. “Bob” Karl, 90, passed away Monday, October 14th in Abilene. He was born November 5, 1922 in Abilene the son of Frederick C. and Flossie M. (Steelsmith) Karl.
Growing up in the area, Bob attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1941. In 1943 he entered the U.S. Army, serving in the European Theater and was honorably discharged in 1945. Bob returned to the area and operated heavy equipment.
In 1952 he married Darlene Weber. All of their married life was spent in Enterprise. Bobs beloved wife preceded him in death in 1974.
For many years he operated the maintainer for the Center Township, retiring at the age of 82.
He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Wayne, George and Donald Karl.

Son: George (Iva) Tomlinson, Harveyville, KS
Brother: Paul Karl, Santa Fe, NM
Nieces and Nephews
The family has chosen cremation.
Memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 19th , at the Enterprise United Methodist Church with inurnment following in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions in his name be given to the Elsie Brooks Cancer Fund. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
