Rick Herpich, 54, of Peabody, died Tuesday, October 8th, 2013, at his home in Peabody. He was born November 9, 1958 at Herington. The son of Fred Lee, Jr., and Gladys E. (Hamilton) Herpich.
Mr. Herpich was a truck driver for U. S. Foods the last ten years. He had worked for Dolly Madison Bakery in Emporia for thirteen years. His hobbies were antique shopping, gardening vegetables, and fishing. He was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He attended Woodbine Grade School and was the last graduating 8th grade class before the school closed. He graduated from White City High School with the class of 1977.
He married Heather L. Sump, May 3, 2003, at Green, Kansas.

Daughter: Ashley Johnson (husband-Tyson) of Strong City
Parents: Fred and Gladys Herpich of Abilene
Sister: Jennifer Phillips (husband-Joel) of Haymarket, VA
Three grandchildren: Briley Johnson
Twin nieces: Hannah and Haley Phillips
He was preceded in death by an infant sister Nancy Herpich in 1960.
