Ruby Fulton died Thursday, Sept. 19 at Midland Hospice in Topeka, KS.
Ruby Augusta Bengtson was born on April 8, 1921, on a farm near Smolan, Kansas to Swedish immigrant parents, Gustof and Augusta Bentson. She was one of nine children born into the Bengtson family.
Rubys early years were spent on the family farm. The family were active members of the Salemsborg Lutheran Church where Ruby was baptized on May 15, 1921. She was confirmed on June 13, 1937.
Ruby married Harold Fulton on May 24, 1942 and they made their home in Wichita, KS, where she employed at the Internal Revenue Service until her husband entered the service during WWII. They returned to Salina, KS, after the war. They had three children, Robert, Gerald and Kathleen.
They joined Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1947 and were member there until her death, 66 years as a member of the church. Ruby served as a Sunday school teacher from 1950 to 1967, was active in the WELCA Group, Alter Guild and other church activities.

One brother: Lawrence Bengtson of Wichita
One Sister: Virginia Lilly of Mentor
Visitation will be Weds, Sept. 25, from 4 to 8 pm at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
Family will be receiving friends from 5 to 7 pm.
Funeral services will be at 10 am, Thurs., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina.
Burial will follow at the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
